Delaware's Best Independence Day Firework Displays

Delaware has a lot to be proud of on the 4th of July – after all, we were the First State! Here are some of the Fourth of July fireworks and festivities that will be going on around Delaware.

Rehoboth Beach

Fireworks display will take place at approximately 9:30 p.m. and are launched from the beach south of Rehoboth Avenue and visible up and down the boardwalk and beach.

Dover

Don’t miss the National Bell-Ringing Ceremony at 2pm and 4pm at The Old State House on The Green. Every Independence Day, bells ring across America’s thirteen original colonies at 2 p.m. to jointly celebrate the birth of our nation with the reading of the Declaration of Independence aloud from the spot where the citizens of Dover first heard it in 1776 and ring the Old State House bell. Smyrna

The day starts with a parade through Clayton starting at 9:30 a.m., kicking off at Clayton Elementary School. The annual fireworks display begins after dusk at the Little League Park on Duck Creek Parkway. For more information visit The Smyrna Clayton July 4th Foundation

Middletown

There is no planned 4th of July Parade in Middletown this year, but the annual fireworks will be held at dusk in Silver Lake Park. For more information visit middletownde.org

Bethany Beach

Parade at noon followed by live music and fireworks at night. For more information visit townofbethanybeach.com

Lewes

Children games, boat parade, games, Doo-Dah parade and fireworks at dusk. Downtown Lewes. 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. For more information visit leweschamber.com

Dewey Beach

9 p.m. Fireworks to be launched from the beach and will be visible from any bar or restaurant along the bayside in Dewey.

Laurel
